TERMS REVISION 2026-10-02-v1 · OCTOBER 2, 2026
AngleSelect
usage terms.
These terms apply starting with AngleSelect 0.17.2 for Mac and 0.17.2-beta.1 for Windows. Read them with the privacy notice before choosing Agree and continue in the app.
Using the app
Sam LeHardy gives you permission to install and use AngleSelect to prepare views, editor projects, and supported video exports. You keep ownership of your footage and projects. You are responsible for having permission to use the material you open and for how you use the output.
Keep a copy of your original footage and check saved projects and exports before relying on them. Compatibility depends on your source video, computer, editor, and any required plugins. Premiere Pro support and the Windows app are labeled beta; see the current test coverage and requirements. Third-party software has its own terms and licenses.
Required app counts
Sharing these counts is a condition of using these versions:
- Installation: a random installation code and app version. The server stores a hash of the code, the first counted version, and count time to avoid counting the same installation twice.
- App opens: the app version adds to a daily total, without an installation code.
- Editor sessions: a successful project save sends the editor name and app version, at most once per editor per app launch. Windows reports Premiere Pro sessions only.
Each report also identifies its event type. These reports contain no footage, filenames, framing settings, or time spent. Cloudflare processes network details to deliver and rate-limit requests. The privacy notice explains the fields, storage, and limits of the counts.
These totals are approximate, not unique people or every export. Failed or offline reports can be missed. Once you agree locally, a network connection or successful report is not required to keep editing.
Your agreement
Before app use or app-count requests, check “I agree to the usage terms and acknowledge the privacy notice.” Then choose Agree and continue. The checkbox starts unchecked. If you do not agree, choose Quit.
This also applies when updating from a version with optional sharing. An earlier choice to share or not share is not agreement to these terms. The app preserves an existing installation code and saves this accepted revision in local preferences; it does not create an account or send your agreement to a server for verification. Updates retain that acceptance unless a different terms revision is required, in which case the app asks again. Clearing preferences also removes the saved acceptance.
There is no app-count opt-out switch in these versions. You can stop future reports by no longer using the app. Earlier installation records and aggregate totals remain as described in the privacy notice. Older versions that offered optional sharing retain that behavior.
