A native Windows interface with bundled FFmpeg, high-quality MOV export, and built-in update checks. The installer is unsigned; Windows may show an unknown-publisher warning.
AngleSelect runs on a Mac or Windows PC. Open this page on that computer to download; it does not run on iPhone, iPad, or Android.
Premiere Pro is available on Mac and Windows. App-generated 4K portrait projects have passed native import, camera-cut, export and save/reopen checks on Mac and a physical Windows PC. Use the matching free plugin below and check a short export with your footage. See the measured coverage and audio caveat.
Before you install
- Your computer: an Apple-silicon Mac running macOS 14 or later. Intel Macs are not supported. For Premiere, also meet Adobe’s requirements.
- Your computer: an x64 Windows PC with .NET Framework 4.8 (included with current Windows 11). The Windows app has been tested in Windows 11; other systems still need checks. For Premiere, also meet Adobe’s requirements, including Windows 11 24H2 or later.
- Your recording: a stitched 360° MP4 or MOV in full 2:1 equirectangular format. Export one 360° video from your camera’s desktop app first; raw GoPro
.360and Insta360.insvfiles are not opened directly. - For Final Cut Pro: the Mac app exports FCPXML 1.14. Import has been tested with Final Cut Pro 12.3. No plugin is needed.
- For Resolve Studio: paid DaVinci Resolve Studio 21.1.1 and the separately installed Insta360 Reframe plugin, which requires macOS 15 or later. The free Resolve edition cannot open AngleSelect’s shared-source projects. Follow the setup and final-export steps.
- For Resolve Studio: paid DaVinci Resolve Studio 21.1.1. The Windows workflow uses built-in Fusion tools and needs no reframe plugin. The free Resolve edition cannot open AngleSelect’s shared-source projects. Follow the Windows setup and final-export steps.
- For Premiere Pro: Premiere Pro 26 or later. Install free GoPro Reframe 2 or later. For lower-resolution SDR sources in 4K portrait, AngleSelect uses Insta360 Reframe V2 for Premiere and shows that requirement. Camera brand does not choose the plugin.

Using the app requires agreement to the usage terms, including installation, app-open, and editor-session counts. AngleSelect asks before app use or reporting. Read the privacy details.
Install on Mac
- Open AngleSelect-1.5.4.dmg.
- Drag AngleSelect onto the Applications shortcut, then eject the disk image.
- Open AngleSelect from Applications. macOS may ask you to confirm the first launch of this signed, notarized app.
- Review the usage terms and privacy notice. Check the agreement and choose Agree and continue, or choose Quit.
- Final Cut Pro is the default editor. For Premiere, install GoPro Reframe and select Premiere Pro below the previews. For Resolve, install paid Studio 21.1.1 and Insta360 Reframe, then select Resolve. Restart your editor after installing a plugin.

Install on Windows
- Close AngleSelect before running AngleSelect-1.5.1-Windows-x64-Setup.exe. Review the unsigned-publisher warning and use the checksum below to check the file.
- Open AngleSelect for Windows from its Start menu or Desktop shortcut. Updates keep your saved settings, installation code, and accepted terms.
- If agreement is needed, review the terms and privacy notice, check the agreement, and choose Agree and continue; choose Quit if you do not agree.
- For Premiere projects, install Premiere Pro 26 or later and the free GoPro Reframe 2 or later plugin. Lower-resolution SDR sources in 4K portrait use Insta360 Reframe V2, as shown in the app. Restart Premiere after adding the plugin. For Resolve projects, install paid Studio 21.1.1; no reframe plugin is needed. Exporting individual MOV videos requires neither editor.
- Open a short stitched recording, choose your editor below the previews, and follow the Windows quick start for Premiere or Resolve Studio.
AngleSelect uses Windows’ native .NET Framework interface and includes FFmpeg for media decoding and export. No separate FFmpeg installation is needed.

Updates and settings
On Windows, use Help → Check for Updates…, or manage automatic checks in Settings → Updates. Checks start enabled and run about once a week while the app is in use. You choose whether to download an update and start its verified installer.
On Mac, use AngleSelect → Check for Updates…. Automatic checks run about once a week; you choose when to install.
Reset All Settings and Quit… clears local preferences while leaving AngleSelect installed. Your footage, saved projects and exported videos stay intact.
To remove the Mac app and its local settings, choose AngleSelect → Uninstall AngleSelect… or use Settings → Privacy. Wait for any export or update to finish first.
Normal Windows uninstall preserves your settings and agreement. Use Reset first if you want to clear them.
